hi, i'm

I started this business after finding my natural role in my community as an empower-er (this is a made up word, I know, but it feels right). I see my work, and the spaces I create as a trampoline for others to bloom and blossom in real time. To put it simply, I see having your photos taken as a form of self-care. 

Someone once observed me by saying, “Mia, you do everything like how you paint.” For context: when I paint, I use my fingers. I attach movement, body, and spirit, and it’s often a big mess— in the end something beautiful comes out of it. 

Often, that’s how it feels having your photograph taken. You show up, you have a vision, and then you move, play, and shape your way to the final product.

That's where the magic is.

Anyone remember that children’s show, Out of the Box? Where they stack a bunch of cardboard boxes and when you crawl inside it’s a magical playground of fun and joy? Well….That’s kinda the vibe here. 

In the middle of a commercial warehouse building, in NYC (Long Island City to be exact!), you go down the halls, open our door, and are immediately transported into a space where we can create anything.
